Kathmandu.Sanima Bank Limited has made significant financial progress in the first quarter of the current financial year 2083/84. According to the financial statement released by the bank, there has been an improvement in indicators such as net profit, earnings per share, deposit collection and return on equity.

The bank has earned a net profit of Rs 1.5 billion in the first three months of the current financial year. This is 131.13 percent more than the Rs 45 crore 42 lakh earned during the same period of the last financial year.

Along with the significant increase in profit, the bank's earnings per share (EPS) has also increased. EPS increased from Rs 13 15 paisa in the first quarter of last year to Rs 29 17 paisa in the same period of the current financial year. According to this, the income per share of the bank has increased by 16 rupees 2 paise.

Likewise, the return on equity (ROE) of the bank has also improved. The ROE which was 7.68 percent in the first quarter of the last financial year has increased to 15.60 percent in the review period of the current financial year. This indicates an improvement in the ability of the bank to earn returns from its own capital.

The total distributable profit per share of the bank has also increased. It is mentioned in the financial statement that such profit, which was 19 rupees 27 paisa during the same period of the previous financial year, reached 27 rupees 58 paisa in the first quarter of the current financial year.

It seems that the bank has made progress in terms of business expansion. During the review period, the bank's deposit collection increased by 11.84 percent and reached 2 trillion 54 billion 93 crore rupees. The increase in deposits shows that the bank's financial resources have expanded.

Similarly, the bank's net loan and cash flow increased by 1.69 percent to 2 trillion 7 billion 43 crore rupees. Compared to deposit collection, the pace of loan expansion is slow.

During this period, the bad loan ratio of the bank has also improved. The total non-performing loan ratio (Gross NPA) which was 3.91 percent in the first quarter of the last financial year has decreased to 2.86 percent in the review period of the current financial year. Thus, the bank's bad loan ratio has decreased by 1.05 percentage points during one year.

Overall, Sanima Bank has been able to increase its profit in the first quarter of the current financial year as well as increase its earnings per share and return on equity. The increase in deposit collection and the decrease in the ratio of bad loans have also shown that the financial condition of the bank has improved.
